‘Virgin River’ Star Tim Matheson Reveals ‘Biggest Myths’ About Show

The actor spills a ‘Virgin River’ filming secret.

Tim Matheson keeps Virgin River fans in the loop on what is happening on the show. As Parade reported, the actor teased a look at his final scene as Vernon “Doc” Mullins for Season 7 when filming wrapped.

Now, it seems he’s adding debunking myths to his list of things to share with Virgin River fans. Matheson shared a video on social media to set the record straight on an assumption many make about the show.

Tim Matheson Reveals ‘Biggest Myths’ About Virgin River

Sitting outside, Matheson kicked off the video by revealing that some fans think the cast is together 24/7 during filming. That is not the case at all, and Matheson explained how things really work behind the scenes.

“We have our little pods that we’re in. Like I work with Annette O’Toole as Hope, and I work with Alex Breckenridge as Mel,” he shared. “Mostly, I’m in a small sort of circle of actors.”

Matheson admitted that when they are filming on a sound stage, though, he will get a chance to see other actors not in his pod. He compared it to a high school reunion, bumping into people you don’t encounter all the time.

In his caption, Matheson made it clear that, despite not always being together on set, the cast of Virgin River is family.

“One of the biggest myths about filming Virgin River? That we’re all hanging out together every day! Most of the time it’s just me and my little pod…. @annetteotoole4152, @alexandrabreck, and a few other characters here and there. So when I do bump into another castmate on set, it’s like a family reunion!” read the caption on his social media share.

In the comments section, one of Matheson’s co-stars popped in with his two cents and a message for his co-star.

Virgin River Star Reacts To Tim Matheson’s Instagram Post

Benjamin Hollingsworth plays bad boy Brady on Virgin River. Brady and Doc do not run in the same circles on the show, which means the two men rarely share scenes.

“I love bumping into @tim_matheson_official – now they gotta write something for us! So we can do it on 🎥 ⚡️ @theerincardillo @richkeith 📝 👀 😜,” Hollingsworth wrote in the comments.

Matheson spotted the reply and responded to his co-star. “@hollingsworthb aww shucks! Not a bad idea though 🤔,” he expressed.

Hopefully, Virgin River fans will get some Doc and Brady moments on Season 7 or perhaps Season 8. That’s right, we get two more seasons of the Netflix hit show.

Virgin River is streaming on Netflix.
