Mark Your Calendars: NBC Sets Fall 2025 Premiere Dates for ‘Chicago Med,’ ‘Fire,’ and ‘P.D.’
The Chicago verse is coming back and the line-up for their fall release schedule will have fans in the windy city all night long! Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. are all heading into new seasons this fall and fans can start watching the shows starting at 8 PM ET and running through 11 PM ET every Wednesday night! Starting on October 1, all three shows will air back to back with Chicago Med starting at 8 PM, then Chicago Fire at 9PM, and finishing up with Chicago P.D. in the 10 PM slot.
The Chicago verse began with Chicago Fire back in 2012 and is now heading into Season 14. Starting with Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide, the series ignited a love for the city. Joining shows like The Bear, The Chi, and Shameless which call Chicago home, the three shows are connected into the One Chicago brand. And now heading into Season 14 for Chicago Fire, Season 13 for Chicago P.D., and Season 11 for Chicago Med, there is a lot to love about the franchise.
This isn’t the first network franchise to form their own connected universe. Shows like Grey’s Anatomy have spun-off into shows like Station 19 where some characters pop back and forth and a similar thing happened back with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the show Angel, which were airing concurrently. So if you want to jump into the franchise before the One Chicago shows return, you have a little over two months to watch all three shows together to have the true Chicago experience with them all before October 1!
Fans Have Missed Their Chicago Shows
Shows like Chicago Fire are important because network television has been, for years, keeping television alive and well. In the era of streaming, it is clear that we do miss the network model where shows come out in the fall and run until the late spring with just the summer off and that’s exactly what happened with the Chicago verse of shows. Season 13 of Chicago Fire ended back in May and fans do still have over two months to wait for the shows to return. But even though it has been two long months without Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med, at least we know when we can return to the windy city.
